Our congratulations to St. Joseph’s General Hospital and the success of their 100th year in service to the Comox Valley! The final element of this year-long celebration was the publication of a commemorative book highlighting a century of service to the community. A companion piece to the 40ft mural installed in the hospital’s lobby, this 36-page perfect bound book features historically rich archival images from 1913 to the present day. This was a labour of love for all involved and we are proud to have worked with the hospital, the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, and the Centennial Celebrations committee to produce this wonderful commemorative piece.

From the Preface… “We thank Blackberry Creative for the design and format of this book, for diligently working alongside all the contributors, and for creating many new digital image files for our historical records. This book was an important undertaking and their wise counsel, ideas, contributions and professionalism were greatly appreciated.”

Copies of “Care with Compassion: 100 Years of Service can be purchased at the hospital gift shop, the Blue Heron and Laughing Oyster book stores and the Comox Museum.
